Services for Capturing, Organizing  and Preserving Information

Records Management
If you have no paper and/or electronic records management program we can help you get started quickly.  The hardest part often is locating where your information assets are located and separate them from items that have no value.
If you already have a records program going, we can help you make it even better by applying software applications that can reduce your management time by 50% or more.  We can recommend, implement and train according to your size and budget. Quite often Microsoft Access does a great job to get you started.

e-LabNotebooks & Laboratory Information Systems
We have been involved with ELNs and LIMS for 20 years and have initiated and rolled out systems for global companies.  We have hand-on experience in selling management, enrolling and culture training users and customization to meet user needs.  Picking the right vendor product is getting more difficult.  There are more than 30 ELN vendors and about 100 that sell LIMS.  We can help you select and implement the one that best matches up to your organization.

Archiving
You probably have records that have to be kept for more than 10 years by law or for intellectual property value.  Are you keeping them in a box in the basement or on a PC or file server?  All media deteriorates.  High temperature and humidity degrades paper and electronic media very quickly.  In 10 years, some or all of your records may be unrecoverable.  We are globally recognized experts in records archiving and will help you find the best solution to assure that your records will be readable for 100 years

Organizing
Many organizations have several silos of information generating systems that do not communicate with each other.  Ideally.  Especially for a research oriented organization you would like to be able to search all of your in house resources for ideas to support a new project.  For example, reports and presentations are kept on a common server, e-LabNotebooks have their own application server and patent information is stored in another location.  Wouldn’t it be great to search all of these resources simultaneously from your desktop? The way to get started is to make sure all of your information silos are capturing metadata associated with each document.  Metadata (like name, date, project, location, etc) is actually very easy to generate.  Most software applications have this capability.  Next steps are quite easy.
