We’ve all heard the term, “Time is Money” Since is it rare to have a photographic memory, most of us need to find information resources that reside somewhere within our organization or on the web in order to do our jobs. Just like buried treasure, a good map would be very useful, but seldom exists.
How would you like to have at least one more hour a day to get things done? As much as 10% of a company's salary costs is "frittered away" as employees scramble to find adequate and accurate information to perform their jobs and complete assigned tasks. Over 50% of typical staff costs can be allocated to employees performing so-called information work. With an average of over 200 emails processed per day, employees are suffering from both information overload as well as information underload. As a result, the typical information worker now spends up to one-quarter of his or her day searching for the right information to complete a given task.
Wouldn't it make sense to invest in a program that reduces the time to find that information quicker? I’m not talking about buying some new software or hardware alone, because the problem is more complex, and throwing big money at it may not give you much of a return on your investment.
Getting organized and saving money is easier than you think!
